CREW LOOKING FOR BOATS

Dear John

I am experienced racing crew available for the summer, interested in sailing on a XOD for club racing/Solent regattas/Cowes week etc. Previous experience includes one design racing - J24, Melges, Formula 1. Current sailing is trimming on a 50ft Classic Yacht racing in the Mediterranean.

Contact :- Steve – 07924 249483

Dear John

I’m interested in crewing in an XOD. I haven’t sailed in 15 years. Prior to spending my weekends working and eating Italian food, my sailing experience was; Lasers (British Youth Squad), GP14, J24, Flying 15’s. All at national and international level.

I’m reasonably sure I still know one end of the boat from the other, but I may well be pretty rusty. I’m 90kg’s, 37 and male.

I have a preference for weekday sailing.

Kind regards

Michael Riley

John

I was wondering if you could pop my details on 'crew looking for boats'
section of Parkstone yacht clubs website?

I would like to get involved in racing either dinghies or yachts and am
available Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings all year round!

I am 24 and have been sailing for over 15 years. I competed in the Firefly
nationals when I was younger and have also sailed RS200s, lasers, wayfarers
etc. I have also competed on a GK24 and most recent during Cowes week 2010
on a Jenneau.

I will be a competent, willing and enthusiastic team member and would love
the opportunity to sail in Poole (as I know the Solent well!).

Anyone can email me on lindsey.smallman@torltd.co.uk or call me on
07894552912

Many thanks

Lindsey

I am a new club member

My own boat is a Seawolf 30 which I cruise on the south coast and cross-channel

Started sailing as a teenager in a Fireball (297) many years ago and more recently I have crewed X’s for the past two years.

I am available on Wednesday afternoons, most weeks of the season and would like to get to know the X fleet

My phone is 01425 475626 or 07734 058196

Please feel free to let the X skippers know my details

Best

Paul Rivers-Latham

Dear Mike

I got your name from the  PYC website and I wonder if it would be possible to pass this short note to any of your members looking for crew or need a general hand around their boats.

It has been a few years since I sailed (used to live in Hamble), where I crewed mainly on Contessa 32s.  I donʼt have formal RYA qualifications (currently studying Day Skipper Theory) but am keen and willing to learn.  I love the water and have given up work recently to train towards a 5 month Yachtmaster training course due to begin end of August 2007.

So I am now based in the Weymouth area, keen to gain any experience and help out where I can.  Most importantly I am available all week, not just weekends and am happy to help out with maintenance as well as sailing, the experience will really be invaluable for me as I make this career change.

Iʼm 33, and until very recently was a professional engineer just back from working in Singapore.

I'd love to hear from you if any of your members are looking for crew, or generally someone around to lend a hand with the boats.  I donʼt mind getting my hands dirty!

Thank-you and look forward to hearing from you.
