Meet at the SQUARE AND COMPASS LARGE CAR PARK NEARBY at 10 am.

GRID REFERENCE SY 974776 - Worth Matravers. A351 from Wareham to Corfe Castle and take the B3069 to Kingston and beyond on the road to Swanage branch off for Worth Matravers. The PUB is famous for its Ale and Pasties. No Parking at the PUB.

WALK 2 - SUNDAY 27th JANUARY 2008 at 10 am(Route chosen by Mike & Valerie Stagg)

Barton-on sea.

 

Follow the A337Christchurch/ Lymington through Highcliffe.

Turn right at sign 'Barton-on-Sea (Western Ave.). At the end of Western Ave, turn left and continue along the cliff top as far as possible. Free car park (No. 3) on right.

WALK 3 SUNDAY 10th FEBRUARY 2008 at 10 am(Route chosen by Roger & Mair Storey)

Meet at the Kingston woodland CAR PARK beyond the Scott Arms above Corfe Castle at 10 am. GRID REFERENCE SY 953795

Walk footpaths past the Obelisk and Encombe House/Encombe Dairy to Swyre Head, then on past Swalland farm to Rope Lake Head, follow coastal path to Houns-tout Cliff, then walk northerly path inland past Westhill farm and follow farm lane to kingston.

Refreshments in the Scott Arms Public House.

WALK 4  - SUNDAY 2nd MARCH 2008 at 10.30 am (Route chosen by Tony & Ann Paul)

Follow A31 from Ringwood to join M27 at Cadnam.

Continue along M27 towards Portsmouth until the motorway ends and the A27 begins – follow signs for Brighton & Chichester. (expands into a 4 lane road – take the right hand 2 lanes).

Ignoring the Havant turn off from the A27 look for next turn off to Emsworth. Take this turn off (the A259) turning right at the roundabout at the end of the A27 slip road. Follow this road (30mph speed limit) for approx 1.5 miles until you reach Emsworth main roundabout. Carry straight across on A259, through Southbourne village, across the next roundabout (watch out the speed camera is here )

Turn right into Cot Lane by the pub on the right hand corner. There is a keep left bollard in the road at this junction. Follow Cot Lane past the Old House at Home pub on the right, follow road sharp left then continue for a while until you come to a road junction with private road no authorised access road on your right. Just past this junction is a gravel turn off to the car park (under a low barrier).

WALK/CYCLE RIDE SUNDAY 16th MARCH 2008 10 am

All Walkers & Cyclists meet at 10am at the Sandbanks Chain Ferry. Easy Cycle Ride through Studland Heath to Greenlands Farm to Newton bypassing Goathorn to Ower Bay – views of Green Island & Poole Harbour. Walkers can Park by Road by Greenlands Farm (Grid reference: SZ025845 & walk part of the cycle route to Greenlands Farm to Newton as far as allows time to meet Cyclists at 12.30 at the Bankes Arms for lunch.
