WINTER BRIDGE CLUB - (Founded by Basil Ellis in 1982.)
Summer is for sailing, but the winter is for other things as well. Parkstone Yacht Club has a thriving Bridge Club, held between the beginning of October and the end of March.
It’s a very relaxed, informal, friendly occasion where people catch up with the “news” and enjoy some good hands of bridge. If you are at a “loose end” on Thursday evenings, and can play bridge, do come along and join us.
On the first and third weeks of the month we play “Chicago”, a form of rubber bridge, and on the second and fourth weeks we play “Duplicate” bridge. Don’t be put off by the sound of this; it’s quite easy to play! There are also a couple of Drives during the season and a Dinner Dance in December.
If you are interested in joining us, either contact me on 01202 – 695056, or just turn up on a Thursday evening. We hope to see you there!
