Welcome to the Parkstone Cadet Page. The Cadet is a junior sailing dinghy, for two sailors, designed in 1948 by Jack Holt. They are raced all around the world by children and teenagers under the age of 18. Parkstone Yacht Club currently holds one of the largest and most successful Cadet fleets in the country. Cadets race regularly on a Sunday morning at Parkstone, but there is also Friday racing and Tuesday beginner's night sailing in the summer. Parkstone Cadets also regularly compete at Open Meetings and Events around the country (much to parent's annoyance!).
