Parkstone Speakeasy !! A new concept in entertainment for selected winter Saturday evenings
We aim to attempt to recreate the atmosphere of prohibition era music clubs with a jazz café style programme of entertainment to complement your evening at Parkstone Yacht Club.
The performers will be based in the clubroom and surrounded by café style tables in an intimate music club style. Table service with snack foods will be available. Subdued lighting in this part of the Club will add to the overall atmosphere for our music lovers.
The music will be sophisticated and set at a volume to allow conversation in the bar and dining area where members will also be able to enjoy normal Saturday evening a la carte dining with the benefit of subtle live background music.
Our programme for this autumn consists of three selected evenings. Saturday September 27th
Jazz with James Rawlinson & Ian Carter
A jazz take on the "Great American Songbook"
Saturday October 11th
Ragtime/ Folk/ 60’s & 70’s Pop with
Robin Greenwood and Mike Parsons
Saturday November 8th
Country /Folk with Richard Green There is no entry fee and the evening’s entertainment will usually start around 1930.
If the events prove popular we shall try to gain regular slots for next year.
