Notice Of Race Addenda

The Flying Fifteen Fleet will comply with the PYC NOR with the following addenda / modifications:

  1. Low Water Days:  With one week’s notice given to all Fleet members the race start time may be changed from the time as scheduled in the Sailing Calendar to allow for adequate depth of water for launching, sailing and recovery of boats.  If a race is rescheduled according to this provision it shall be run as a Fleet organised event (Possibly with a Gate start) and without Club support boat cover.  Results will be recorded by the competitors taking part in the race and advised to the Fleet Vice Captain by the winner of the race for inclusion in the series.
  2. Mini Series:  The Flying Fifteen Mini Series will comprise of Four races sailed back to back, each with an expected duration of 30 mins.  The overall results of the Mini Series will count as a result for inclusion in the Spring / Summer Series
  3. PYC Two Race Days:  On days listed within the PYC sailing calendar as ‘Two Race Day’ the Flying Fifteen Fleet will sail two races each with an expected duration of approximately 1hour.

Sailing Instructions Addenda

The Flying Fifteen Fleet will comply with the PYC Sailing Instructions with the following modifications:
  1. RRS 44.1 is modified as follows:  A boat may take a one turn penalty when she may have broken one or more rules of Part 2 in an incident wile racing.
  2. Radio Communication:Boats may carry a VHF radio set for use in an emergency and to facilitate communication of the sailing courses and start times etc.
